Our Legacy

Selhor’s fine craft in watchmaking started in 1947 in Maîche, a commune in Eastern France by its founder Charles Callier. The brand was inspired by the concept of creating legacy timepieces, especially dive and chronograph watches. The French watchmaking company was proud of upholding the value of heritage tool watches.

Through the years, Selhor moved to different locations around Maîche under various names. In 1947, it became the known Spinelli Workshop, located at 2 Rue Sainte-Anne. Then, in 1949, it transferred to 12 Rue Sainte-Anne with the name Maison Cailler. Its last known location from 1964 to 1965 was at 7-9 Rue du Mont under the factory name Rotschi. After 11 years, Selhor suddenly disappeared.

Selhor was a great competitor of other brands such as Lip, Lejour, Yema, and Forban and was also known as a manufacturer for other watch brands.

To continue its legacy, Selhor is making a comeback in the watchmaking industry. It will continue manufacturing classic and sturdy quartz watches such as the famous Diver 05 and Chronograph collections. These collections have made Selhor live up to its name of crafting high-quality, rare, and vintage timepieces remembered by great men. With the plan to relaunch Selhor into the market, the Diver 05 Re-Edition and other collections will surely be recognizable once again.
